Separated at birth?

There was something oddly familiar about the photo of Governor Sarah Palin of Alaska. The resemblance is uncanny. Palin looks exactly like Dr. Jennifer Melfi from "The Sopranos".

And I don't know why I had not seen this before.

Here are the photos side by side:

Melfi is on the left. Gov. Palin is on the right. No, wait...maybe it's the other way...no, I was right the first time.

Strange, though that McCain is drawn to a woman that looks like Tony Soprano's psychiatrist. Go figure.

Obama's convention speech

"You understand that in this election, the GREATEST RISK we can take is to try the same old politics with the same old players and expect a different result. You have shown what history teaches us - that at defining moments like this one, the change we need doesn't come from Washington. Change comes to Washington. "

Out of Obama, Biden, McCain and Palin who best fits that description?

Have a good Labor Day.

I think, Obama. Hope you agree.

Have a great Labor Day weekend.

"...the change we need doesn't come from Washington. Change comes to Washington."

Three Washington Senators and one Alaskan Governor and you chose a Washington Senator.

Yeah... well good luck with that.

Tell me is this funny Joey? Here is former DNC Chair Don Fowler on a plane "yucking it up" over Hurricane Gustav hitting New Orleans during the RNC.

He clearly says "this shows God is on our side".

Let me tell you something... people who live on the coast are going to lose their livelihood once again. I was there when Rita went through and you would not believe the number of people who lost what little they had.

This is disgusting... I expected it when Michael Moore said this but Fowler?

You better start making phone calls.

This is a woman, Sarah Palin, who is strongly anti-choice, opposing abortion even in the case of rape or incest. She believes that Creationism should be taught in schools. She doesn't think humans are the cause of climate change.
She's solidly in line with John McCain's "Big Oil first" energy policy. She's pushed hard for more oil drilling and says renewables won't be ready for years. She also sued the Bush administration for listing polar bears as an endangered species˜she was worried it would interfere with more oil drilling in Alaska.

If this is the outside the beltway "change" you wish to see, you can have it.

Because I am a man I have been told by a number of women that I have no right to decide the laws on abortion when I will never experience pregnancy and I will never have to keep a baby in my body which I don't want.

Therefore, when choosing a candidate I never look at their stance on abortion because as a man I should have no say, one way or the other.

Don't you agree?

As a man you certainly can support [or not support] rights of reproductive freedom for women. Men have sisters, daughters, wives, cousins, aunts and mothers that they are concerned about. The idea that 'men have no rights to an opinion about abortion' seems too draconian for me.
